Dr. Thomas and Diane Waldo My passion is to see people become fully surrendered to Christ and grow in their Christian walk. I want to see people so taken by God’s Word, that they can’t help but apply it to all aspects of their life then share those same principles with others, helping them in their daily walk with Christ. My desire is to see people live vital Christian lives, and making an impact for Christ in whatever arena of life God has for them.

Diane and Dr. Thomas Waldo

Biography – I was born in Elyria, Ohio in January, 1954. I was raised in a Christian home and attended First Baptist Church of Elyria. It was at church, at the age of five, that I realized I was a sinner and that God loved me so much that He sent Jesus Christ to the earth to die on the cross for my sin. I asked God to forgive me of my sin and apply the payment Christ made on the cross to my life and to become my Lord and Savior. Two years later, after a Jack Van Impe campaign, that I was baptized and became a member of the church.

Throughout my childhood, I was active in my church and our AWANA programs. It was in the summer of 1971, while working at Skyview Ranch, (An Ohio Baptist summer camp for kids) that I strongly felt the Lord’s leading into full time Christian service. After graduating from high school, I attended Cedarville University majoring in Bible with hopes of becoming a youth pastor in a church. Diane and I married the summer before our senior year of college. In November of 1975, God laid upon both Diane’s and my heart to attend Seminary. After graduation, we loaded up a small truck and moved to Michigan where I attended Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. After graduation, I taught Bible in a Christian School for a year, then moved to Crown Point, Indiana where I served for two years as an Associate Pastor at South Park Baptist Church.

The next two years of ministry were spent as a missionary pastor at Alton Road Baptist Church in Galloway, Ohio as a missionary with Fellowship of Baptist for Home Missions. After the church became self supporting, we continued serving as pastor for four years. Our next two moves took us to Washington, Indiana, and Brookfield, Illinois as Senior Pastor. At Brookfield, we were able to see a hurting church rebuilt into a strong church with a vibrant testimony in our community.

In the fall of 2006 Diane and I made the move from the Chicago area to Fairborn and Grand Heights.  From day one, the move here has been obviously one orchestrated by God.  The church has been steadily progressing in it’s goal to become the kind of Church God wants it to be.  It feels like we have been here all of our lives.
